Description

This sterling silver button slide clasp allows your customer to adjust the length of your design and accommodates chain (less than 1.9mm).

This clasp comes unassembled and includes a round bead end cap. To assemble the clasp, insert the narrow end of the spring into the component and place the button cap over the spring. Press to align the holes and slide your chain through the holes. Then solder your chain end onto the bead, over the hole. Then attach the other end of your chain to the open ring on the clasp.

To use the clasp, press the center button and simply slide the chain or cord to the desired length. When the button is released, the spring tension keeps the slide securely closed on the chain. This slide clasps is ideal for chain (not suitable for leather, rubber or satin cord).

IMPORTANT: Sterling silver is an alloy containing metals that react with chemicals found in air and produce tarnish; high moisture levels, exposure to sunlight and contaminants such as salt water increase this reaction. Take steps to protect your sterling findings by keeping them in airtight packages, use tarnish-resistant products (such as tarnish tabs or strips) that absorb harmful chemicals, and store sterling findings in a cool, dry place. Most tarnish is easily removed by polishing with a mild abrasive or soaking in an anti-tarnish solution.
