This dead-soft, nickel alloy square wire features four flat sides; the flat surfaces are ideal for aligning two or more strands with one another and when soldering components to the wire. Give the wire a twist to create attractive twist wire. Simple hoops, bangles and other components take on a fresh, dynamic look when made using square wire. Dead soft wire is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take.

This wire is packaged in 1-lb. coils.

Although commonly referred to as nickel silver or German silver, this nickel alloy actually contains no silver but offers an attractive—and very affordable—white-metal fabrication material ideal for a variety of design work and fabrication tasks.
