Saw Blade Specification Chart

Description

Saw blades come in standard sizes from 8/0 (read as "eight aught") to 8. The size of blade you use is determined by the gauge of the metal you are cutting and the cutting task you are performing. Use the saw blade chart below to determine the right size blade to use.

When you are piercing a piece of metal in order to insert a saw blade and saw out a shape, it's important to know which size drill bit corresponds to the size of blade you are using. You can also use this chart to help determine which size drill bit is right for the job.
