This faceted yellow beryl stone features a deep golden yellow color that looks great with any metal type, either on its own or partnered with other complementary gemstone colors. Its relative hardness makes it a great choice for ring, pendant and bracelet designs.
Beryl has a composition of beryllium aluminium cyclosilicate, which produces hexagonal crystals that range from very small to extremely large—up to several meters wide. Beryl is naturally colorless but becomes tinted due to impurities that can result in a range of colors, including green, blue, yellow, red or white. Beryl is sometimes called "Heliodor", a Greek word that translates to "gift from the sun." Other varieties of beryl include aquamarine, morganite and emerald.
The oval cut is an even, symmetrical shape but elongated. The arrangement of its facets is similar to that of a round brilliant, designed to maximize light and color.
• Care: Clean with warm, soapy water.
• Unless precisely calibrated to an exact size, gemstone sizes vary slightly. Rio allows a tolerance of +/– 0.2mm for gemstones larger than 4mm.
