The flame extinguishes when you remove your hand, ensuring that you’re burning fuel only as long as needed for each touch. Adjust the dial at the base of the nozzle for the flame you want: a strong blue flame (2,372°F) or a soft yellow flame (1,472°F). If desired, you can set the burner to lock the flame in the ‘on’ position for extensive jobs—and lock it in the ‘off’ position for safety.
