These Swanstrom parallel-action fine flat-nose pliers offer an extra-secure grip on your workpiece or wire and are designed for the highest level of strength, durability and comfort. The pliers are parallel from pivot to tip and have flat interior surfaces and squared-off tips. Flat-nose pliers are ideal for making wider, broader bends in wire, for metal-forming, straightening and flattening sheet and wire, making angled bends and holding components. The fine jaws allow you to access close areas to make the desired bends. The jaws hold objects securely even under very firm pressure—beneficial for stone-setting and other fine work. Choose parallel-action pliers when you need to hold a workpiece or other object securely while at the same time applying very firm pressure to it.
• The compound joint keeps the jaws parallel as they open and close, and deliver even pressure along the entire length of the jaw, eliminating slipping. The knurled jaw stop allows you to achieve even, repeatable pressure with no over-extension of the tool.
• The double-leaf spring holds the pliers open and ready to use until they are squeezed closed and delivers a fast, strong rebound for improved productivity.
• The Soft-Touch™ sure-grip foam handles are longer, wider and ergonomically designed for maximum comfort over extended periods of use. All Swanstrom tool handles are latex-free.
This tool is made of high-carbon, high-chrome alloy steel—the highest quality tool steel—and forged for the best combination of strength and durability. The jaws will not be nicked or deformed with normal use. The dark matte finish prevents eye strain caused by reflective glare and increases the visibility of the workpiece.
Swanstrom Tools manufactures technically advanced cutters and pliers, forged from high chromium, high carbon alloy steel and hardened to 65 HRC. This material, along with a unique proprietary heat treating process and computer-controlled induction edge-hardening maximize tool life.
