Sterling Silver Round Scalloped Stampings

Description

This 26-gauge, 8mm sterling silver stamping has a scalloped edge, giving it a flower-like shape. It is ideal for shaping into components for your designs, for dapping to highlight the flower shape, and as a base for soldering components (such as bezel cups) onto; consider personalizing the stamping with stamped or engraved designs. The shape of this stamping gives you more scope for design variation—drill a hole in one petal and add a jump ring to create a pendant or charm, or drill a hole in two opposing petals to create a link or festoon-style pendant. The stamping is die struck with clean, crisp edges and may require some finishing to smooth its edges and polish its surface.

IMPORTANT: Sterling silver is an alloy containing metals that react with chemicals found in air and produce tarnish; high moisture levels, exposure to sunlight and contaminants such as salt water increase this reaction. Take steps to protect your sterling findings by keeping them in airtight packages, use tarnish-resistant products (such as tarnish tabs or strips) that absorb harmful chemicals, and store sterling findings in a cool, dry place. Most tarnish is easily removed by polishing with a mild abrasive or soaking in an anti-tarnish solution.
