Sterling Silver Round Pad Ring Mountings, Adjustable
Alternate Text Sterling Silver Round Pad Ring Mountings, Adjustable

Description

This adjustable sterling silver ring features an 8mm round pad ideal for attaching design elements or settings and for directly attaching cabochons or glass designs using jeweler's epoxy. It’s also a great foundation for Raindrop® resin molded components you create yourself—simply scuff the surface of the pad with abrasive paper and use jeweler’s epoxy to attach components. The ring is adjustable from size 6-1/2 to size 9; if you need a smaller size, trim the adjustment tangs to adjust the ring down to a size 5. For quick, effective sizing, use a ring mandrel.

Please Note:

• If you're using E6000 adhesive to glue glass cabs onto metal findings, try this tip for achieving a consistently secure, permanent connection. First, glue your pieces together, then turn your kiln or kitchen oven to 350 degrees. Once it reaches temperature, put your items inside, turn the oven off and let it return to room temperature. The pieces will hold firmly and permanently.
• After setting your stone(s) in this mounting, finish or polish as necessary to complete your ring.
IMPORTANT: Sterling silver is an alloy containing metals that react with chemicals found in air and produce tarnish; high moisture levels, exposure to sunlight and contaminants such as salt water increase this reaction. Take steps to protect your sterling findings by keeping them in airtight packages, use tarnish-resistant products (such as tarnish tabs or strips) that absorb harmful chemicals, and store sterling findings in a cool, dry place. Most tarnish is easily removed by polishing with a mild abrasive or soaking in an anti-tarnish solution.
