These compact Lindstrom pliers feature one flat and one round tapered jaw, ideal for making a wide variety of bends in wire or flat stock. Bend the wire against the flat jaw to create wider, broader bends or to make angled bends; bend the wire around the round jaw to make loops, jump rings, coils and sharper curves. The jaws are parallel from pivot to tip and have squared-off tips, helping to ensure precise, repeatable curves and angles. Smaller than the tools in the RX line but built for heavier-duty work, EX pliers are ideal for use with heavy-gauge metals and harder metals such as brass or bronze.
• These pliers have a lap joint; one half of the joint overlaps the other, and a screw is set through both halves. The screw allows the joint to be adjusted as needed.
• The double-leaf spring consists of flat, tempered metal tabs attached to the inside of each of the tool handles, positioned to meet and hold the handles apart (and the jaws open) until they are squeezed closed, delivering a fast, strong rebound for improved productivity.
• The wider, thicker handle grips, made with resin composite, are both ergonomic and ESD-safe (any electrostatic discharge is safely dissipated). All Lindstrom tool handles are latex-free.
Lindstrom EX pliers are precision-crafted in Switzerland from a hardened, high-chromium steel alloy and precision-ground to exact specifications. Jaw edges are smoothly radiused to protect workpieces; they meet perfectly along their entire length to ensure a secure and complete grip.
