As easy as plating, with colors that rival enamels, exclusive nano-ceramic electro-coating material delivers the best of both worlds! Choose this transparent coating to protect pieces against tarnish or to make them hypoallergenic, protecting customers who may have sensitivity to metals. Pieces treated with Kliar e-coating never lose the look, feel and sound of the metal that is at their core. Suitable for any conductive metal, e-coating is ideal for coating or coloring all kinds of jewelry items.

Follow the same steps you would to merely plate your jewelry piece (just use a higher voltage; see instructions), then cure the coating with a short stay in a curing kiln or oven. The nano-ceramic particles bond permanently to the metal, creating a brilliantly colorful overlay that is as durable as it is beautiful.

The metal you choose to start with will significantly affect the final color of your piece (the sample disc shown is sterling silver). You can also achieve a wide variety of hues and tones by varying the voltage and duration of your coating step and by applying multiple coating layers.
