Jason's Works Coin Ring Auto-Punch Housing Set
The self-centering housing and punch & die pairs ensures error-free punching of your coins. This set includes the housing, nine punch & die pairs, and a red oak accessory organizer. The housing is made from hardened steel with corrosion-resistant cadmium plating.
Jason's Works Coin Ring Reduction Die Set, 11 piece
Start folding your punched coin outward to form and shape the ring band with this set of stainless steel reduction dies. The dies can be used to reduce the ring band and can be used in conjunction with the die plate that comes with the Durston Ring stretcher (available separately). The set includes 11 dies with two slope degrees, 17° and 25°, and an organizer made from durable red oak.
Jason's Works Stabilizer Folding Cone and Stretcher Set
This folding cone and stretcher set includes two stainless steel folding cones and five tough, non-marring linen phenolic (a thermoset resin material) folding cones are used in partnership with coin ring reduction dies to fold and shape a punched coin into a ring. The spacer (made of the same resin material) extends the reach of the cones into the reduction die as the center hole widens and folds outward in this process. One highly polished stainless steel anvil designed to be used with the coin ring reduction dies helps ensure the ring achieves and maintains a perfectly parallel band width throughout the shaping and forming process. The 1/4" stretching mandrel is ideal for starting the folding process on smaller coins (such as pennies or dimes). And the Mega-Stretcher sleeve achieves larger ring sizes (up to 25 U.S. ring size) on your stretching mandrel.
Jason's Works Swedish Wrap Coin Ring Master Set
Designed for the Swedish Wrap coin ring technique, this kit enables you to make smaller rings from larger coins. It is ideal for creating the mid-knuckle rings that continue to grow in popularity, and to make rings as small as size 4-3/4 (U.S.) from dollar and half-dollar coins. This kit includes three hardened stainless steel reduction dies and nine hardened bronze plungers, each marked with witness lines to help indicate movement as you press it downward. Also included is the "Ring Bearer" tool, which adds additional height to the reduction dies, and three push-follower plungers. Keep the accessories neatly organized with the included accessory organizer made from durable red oak.
Jason Stinchfield, founder and owner of Jason's Works, raised the idea of creating rings out of minted coins to a professional level and pioneered techniques and tooling that make the process fast, effective and repeatable. His work is widely recognized among jeweler/metalsmiths who work with coins to produce memorable pieces of wearable art. He chooses to openly share his own experience and the techniques he has developed, freely exchanging ideas and experiences with colleagues; this has brought rapid growth and vibrancy to this area of jewelry design.
• Anneal often as you shape your coin using reduction dies; this protects the metal integrity and design details of the coin.
• Protect the surfaces of your punches by using only brass-head mallets to strike them when cutting.
• Always use BurLife® on the cutting edges of your punches to keep them cutting cleanly and efficiently for years to come.
