This Edenta bur features a surface plated with diamond particles; rather than metal cutting the surfaces, the diamond surface cleanly grinds away material. With a mid-range 120-grit abrasive, it effectively removes material while leaving a smooth polished surface and is ideal for shaping stone, metal, ceramic and glass. Inverted cone burs are used for cutting a shoulder into bezels and undercutting for inlay or channel settings. Always use a lubricant, such as BurLife, when using diamond burs.
The specially designed, multi-layer coating on Edenta diamond burs ensures a more effective performance and runs cooler for a longer service life for each bur. Diamond is bonded to stainless steel; tools run true, without wobble, for excellent control and precision.
