This gauge wire comes coiled

Made with a touch of Germanium, this ½-hard Argentium® Silver round wire is highly resistant to firescale and less likely to tarnish than sterling. It's fusible and it also solders beautifully. (When soldering or fusing use Ronda Coryell's Purple Flux for less bubbling.)

Metal that is 1/2-hard is partially work-hardened and will hold its shape under some stress. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable by annealing, heat-hardening or work-hardening. To avoid annealing, use this wire only after soldering.

Available in custom cuts of any length, with a minimum weight of 0.01 ozt. If you click 'Add to Cart' for a quantity less than this, a prompt will prevent you from ordering.

Working with Argentium is a bit different than working with traditional sterling. If you are new to using Argentium®, scroll down or visit our Resource Center to find lots of guidance to help you reap all the benefits this material has to offer!
