Description

This intricate 18-karat yellow gold “crown" gallery wire features an open filigree look, ideal for creating custom bezels and for adding decorative high-karat elements to a wide variety of jewelry designs. The wire is delicate and should be handled with care.

The wire is packaged in coils and can be cut to any length that satisfies the system minimum. Orders must weigh at least 0.01 dwt.; if you click 'Add to Cart' for a quantity less than this, the cart will offer a prompt to let you know what the minimum for this item is. This wire is manufactured by Rio Grande.

Ideal for high-end designs and for pieces that are not exposed to a great deal of daily wear and tear, high-karat gold materials are highly workable and deliver a signature deep-yellow color to designs.

Please Note: • We strive to measure quantities ordered as closely as possible; however, due to manufacturing tolerances at the mill, please allow for a ±10% variance when ordering.
• We do not anneal our gallery wire because the variation in hardness of the starting material causes the temper of the finished gallery wire to vary from batch to batch (hardness as-rolled is approx. "Hard"). Unannealed, the wire performs better for shaping stone settings. If you intend to bend or wrap this wire extensively, please anneal it first. Simply flux the wire, heat it to a dull red, then quench it in pickle as soon as it cools below the red color.
• Manufacturing processes may leave sharp or rough edges on the wire that require finishing.
