14/20 Yellow Gold-Filled 1.9mm Full-Bead Wire, Dead-Soft
Alternate Text 14/20 Yellow Gold-Filled 1.9mm Full-Bead Wire, Dead-Soft

Description

This dead-soft, 14/20 yellow gold-filled full-bead wire is ideal for a wide range of fabrication tasks. Intended for decorative frames and accent work, bead wire offers an attractive beaded appearance. The slenderness of the wire between beads makes it suitable only for applications that do not subject the wire to ongoing stress. Dead-soft wire is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take.

This 14/20 gold-filled wire is packaged in coils and can be cut to any length that satisfies the system minimum. Orders must weigh at least 0.01 ozt.; if you click 'Add to Cart' for a quantity less than this, the cart will offer a prompt to let you know what the minimum for this item is.

Gold-filled materials allow you to design and fabricate using the desirable color of karat gold while preserving a more affordable price point than is possible with solid gold. Its economical cost allows a greater latitude for trying out new designs or creating lines of fashion jewelry items.
