Nancy Hamilton considers herself, foremost, a jeweler. But being an educator runs a close second. She spends most of her time creating content, researching and responding to her many viewers’ many questions. She helps people find solutions, teaching and encouraging those who simply want to make jewelry and helping those who wish to bring their metalsmithing skills to a professional level.
Nancy majored in art and design in college. After college, she changed careers from an auditor/accountant and completed a three-year metalsmithing certificate program. Today she has more than 95 how-to jewelry-making videos that can be seen on YouTube, Vimeo and other platforms. Her YouTube site has had over 2 million views and has 30,000 subscribers. Her website, NancyLTHamilton.com, is a great resource for jewelers of all levels. It has more than 170 pages of information, instruction and resources. It receives over 70,000 monthly page views and is visited by more than 16,000 viewers a month. Her popularity came as a great surprise to her when she, inadvertently, started this new career at 56 years old.”
