. This plating solution is produces a deep rose color and is made for creating 18-karat rose gold-plated jewelry. The GT4PINK solution contains 4 grams of gold per liter, in an acidic electrolyte environment. Heavy rose gold plating can be achieved with a thickness of up to 5 microns.
The video shows the plating process, and mentions the co-deposition of gold with copper, which generates an alloy that is 75% gold. The plated surface will have a 400 Vickers hardness value, providing a durable surface with a tightly knit micro-structure.
The benefits of this plating method versus the method that uses a chemical process with copper and cyanide are discussed. The simplicity of using the GT4PINK acidic electrolyte environment is emphasized.
