Midas Bright Acid Copper Plating Solution can be used to fill minor casting porosity or as an undercoat when you need a thicker deposition. This solution will not adhere directly over steel, stainless steel, or alloys of tin and lead. Brighteners are included in this solution; the brightness can be maintained using  a replenisher. The copper deposit can also be polished. This solution is provided full strength and ready to use. Use it at room temperature.

All metal parts must be properly cleaned and activated before copper plating. Metals require a strike before plating. Please see the Midas Plating Guide for strike instructions.

Pour the desired amount into a Pyrex beaker. Attach the positive (+) lead to a pure copper anode and immerse in solution. Turn on the rectifier and operate between 1 and 2 volts.

Using a copper handling wire, attach the properly prepared workpiece to the negative (-) lead and immerse it in the solution, agitating gently. Adjust the rectifier if necessary to produce a bright deposit. When finished, rinse in distilled water.
