Walnut shell is used in dry tumbling operations to carry final-finish compounds. Charge walnut shell with pink pre-polish paste, Meta-Glos, chrome oxide or Simichrome polish to create your own final finishing media, or try high–performance pre-treated walnut shell. This walnut shell media is small.

How To Use Walnut Shell
Walnut Shell is used in dry tumbling processes as a carrier for compounds that produce a final finish. Use in the final process for a super-fine finish, especially on stone and metal.
CAUTION: Dust may irritate respiratory system. Do not breathe dust. Use accordingly. Keep out of reach of children and uninformed adults.
Parts must be pre-finished in fine or extra-fine cut-down media prior to final finishing in dry media.
For vibratory finishers, fill the barrel 2/3 to 3/4 full.
For rotary tumbling barrels, fill barrel (parts and media) 1/2 to 3/5 full.
Tumble 12 to 24 hours or until the desired finish is achieved.
To remove residue left by dry media, we recommend tumbling pieces in absorbent cob meal for 30 to 60 minutes.
