This dead-soft 16-gauge bronze sheet offers the benefit of having fabrication metal ready when you need it; custom-cut it to the exact size and shape your design requires. Dead soft sheet is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take.
Sold in 6 x 12" sheets.
Bronze fabrication material offers a slightly antiqued yellow-metal look ideal for mixed metal and alternative-metal designs. As a base metal, bronze also provides a very affordable price point.
CDA #521 (92% Cu/8% Sn).
Because heavier-gauge sheet is milled fewer times during the manufacturing process, it tends to have a semi-bright finish; achieving a high polish on this sheet requires some additional finishing.
• Although dead soft, this sheet tends to be stiffer than dead-soft sheet of the same gauge in other metals.
• We strive to measure quantities ordered as closely as possible; however, due to manufacturing tolerances at the mill, please allow for a ±10% variance when ordering.
