This Magic Finding™ crimp bead features not simply one hole like traditional crimps but rather seven holes (.022"). Use the seven channels in this bead to:

How To

How To Use the Magic Finding Crimps, Omega and Pliers

Use Magic Finding™ pliers with specially made Magic Finding crimps and Omega inserts to quickly and efficiently complete a wide array of stringing designs. With a Magic Finding crimp, you can:
• Expand a single strand to as many as seven strands—or effectively reduce as many as seven strands down to a single strand, ready for finishing.
• Connect a variety of findings into a single point—such as a multi-strand earring design connected to a head pin, eye pin, or Omega insert that can be attached to the ear wire.

The options for this versatile finding are nearly as endless as your imagination!

Please Note: The Magic Finding pliers are required to properly close Magic Finding crimp beads.

To Close a Magic Finding Crimp with Magic Finding Pliers:
1. Position the crimp bead in the larger bead pocket (nearest to the tips) of the Magic Finding pliers and firmly squeeze the jaws closed.

2. Turn the crimp bead 90° and squeeze the pliers closed again. Continue to squeeze the pliers one or two more times, until the jaws are fully closed around the crimp.

3. Move the crimp to the smaller bead pocket (nearest to the joint) and repeat Steps 1 and 2. The crimp will be closed, secure and perfectly rounded.

To Use the Magic Finding Crimp Bead:
1. Thread the main cord or wire of your bead strand through the center hole in the Magic Finding crimp bead.

2. String the beads you want on the first of your multi-strands. When all beads are in place, thread your cord through one of the side holes of a second Magic Finding crimp bead (leave about 1/4" between your final bead and the crimp bead on each of your strands to ensure enough room for the pliers to enclose the crimp when you close it). Then lead the cord back through another of the side holes of the crimp bead, pulling the cord snug against surface of the crimp.

3. String the beads you want on the next of your multi-strands. When all beads are in place, thread your cord through one of the side holes of the first crimp bead and back through another side hole, ready for the next of your multi-strands.

4. Continue until you have strung up to seven strands. After the last strand, thread your cord through the center hole of the second crimp bead, ready to continue your main strand or to finish with a clasp.

5. Please Note: You can also attach multiple strands one at a time rather than on one continuous strand as described above. Keep in mind that your main strand should always occupy the center hole. If you use this method, be sure to allow enough length on each strand for it to lead through one of the crimp's side holes and back through another (trimming off any excess on each strand); this double pass ensures a secure hold on each of your strands.

When Used as a Connector:
the Magic Finding crimp bead can hold combinations of wire or beading cord,

head pins,

eye pins,

and the Magic Finding Omega insert. The insert fits into two of the holes in the Magic Finding crimp bead.

The loop on the Omega insert can be used to attach a clasp, ear wire, or other finding, or to create a pendant bail. For example, attach dangles to hang below the bead and an Omega insert above the bead to hold an ear wire or to serve as a pendant bail. The possibilities are nearly endless!

To Close a Crimp with an Omega Insert in Place:
1. When crimping a Magic Finding that will hold an Omega insert, be sure that the insert is fully inserted into the crimp. Properly positioned, the ends should go all the way through the crimp and extend out the other side.

2. Position the Omega insert in the larger bead pocket of the Magic Finding pliers (nearest to the tips) with the loop parallel to the jaws for your first squeeze.

3. With your finger, put downward pressure on the insert while squeezing the pliers firmly closed. Then turn the loop 90° so that it is perpendicular to the jaws and, again putting downward pressure on the insert, squeeze the pliers again, closing the jaws further. Continue turning and squeezing (each time with pressure on the insert) until the pliers jaws are fully closed.

4. Move the crimp to the smaller bead pocket (nearest to the joint)and repeat steps 2 and 3. Continue to maintain pressure on the insert each time you squeeze the pliers. When the jaws are again completely closed, the crimp is secure and perfectly rounded.
