How To Keep Jewelry Inventory Clean and Protected

Know how to use the best tools and methods to keep your stock clean and looking its best for the ultimate sales results. Keep jewelry separated, organized and protected to make it easier to access, easier to set up displays and more readily available for sale.

1 Clean your jewelry using methods suited to the metal. Sunshine® Cloths are a great choice for a variety of metals. There is even a special cloth suited to stainless steel.

2 Use inserts to keep your jewelry organized. The inserts fit into any standard-size display tray. Try easy-to-clean plastic trays to keep your jewelry cleaner and to avoid scratches.

• Leave empty spots in your case and trays to give potential customers a sense that your jewelry is selling, but that you still have plenty to offer.

• Do not include multiples of the same design in your case. Seeing multiples takes away the feeling of uniqueness and eliminates incentive for the customer to make a quick purchase. Keep multiples in your jewelry rolls and add them to your case as needed.

• Stock multiple-piece jewelry sets to encourage multiple sales. Point out that a set makes a great gift and can be spaced out across multiple gift-giving occasions.
