How To
How To Choose the Plating Solutions You Need
Not all solutions of the same color are created the same. Here's a tip on how to interpret the information on each solution to help select exactly the one that's right for your application.
The precious-metal content in a solution is an important factor in choosing the right plating solution. Rio provides the pennyweight (dwt.) or gram (g) content of the metal in each of our MIDAS® solutions for you to see. For example, one MIDAS 24K yellow gold plating solution contains .39g (1/4 dwt.) of gold per 1-oz. bottle while another contains .8g (1/2 dwt.) per 1-oz. bottle, a higher concentration. Use this information when comparing solutions for the best buying decision for your particular application.
