Coal-Based, Acid-Washed Activated Carbon

Use this activated carbon to embed BRONZclay™ pieces for firing. Coal-based, acid-washed carbon creates a richly colorful patina on pieces as they’re fired. To prepare the carbon for use, place it inside the container, cover with the lid and fire for 30 minutes at 1550°F. For a light patina color, try the coconut shell–based activated carbon (#703-205). Contains 5 lbs. (2.3kg).
